The Colour Block Boxy Lite is a super simple, easily customisable, top down short sleeved sweater. This is the fingering weight version of our popular Colour Block Boxy Tee which is written for DK weight yarn.
You can simply follow the main instructions to create a lovely boxy fit tee, but there are also many opportunities for you to customise the fit of your sweater to be the perfect fit for your body. I will guide you through the options, as we come to them, so you feel comfortable making each decision.
The Colour Block Boxy Lite can be knit entirely in one colour and will be fantastic, but I cordially invite you to let your creative side run wild. You could fade from one colour to another, create a stripy fabric by switching between colours or colour block with coordination or contrasting colours.
Designed to be a boxy fit, I recommend 6-8” (12-17cm) positive ease, however, the listed sizes are the finished size so choose an ease that you feel most comfortable with. I am a 35” bust and my black and speckled grey sample sweater is a size 42” giving me 7” positive ease.
The sizes given are finished bust size (measured at the widest point) so just apply your chosen ease to your own personal bust measurement and then choose the nearest size.
