DK 100% Merino
- A gorgeously soft 4ply DK weight yarn. Extra fine superwash merino is used for these yarns so they feel soft and gentle against the skin.
- A very versatile yarn, it can be used for shawls, wraps, mittens, sweaters and more.
- Approx 225m per 100gm hank.
I have listed a number of colourways that would be perfect for the main colour for this sweater, however this list is not exhaustive. I will be adding more as and when I can.
However, you can choose any colourway in our shop for your main colour, so, if you do not see the colourway you want listed here, or if you need any help choosing, please get in touch and we can work it out together.
Once you have decided your main colour you can choose any complimentary contrasting colour. We have over 40 solid colourways that can be found in our dyed to order listings. Just leave me a note at checkout with your chosen colour.
Alternatively, If you can't find a colour combinatiom that makes your heart sing, please do get in touch and we can create you a truly one off custom colour way.
The Colour Block Boxy is a super simple, easily customisable, top down sweater.
You can simply follow the main instructions to create a lovely boxy fit sweater, but there are also many opportunities for you to customise the fit of your sweater to be the perfect fit for your body. I will guide you through the options, as we come to them, so you feel comfortable making each decision.
The Colour Block Boxy can be knit entirely in one colour and will be fantastic, but I cordially invite you to let your creative side run wild. You could fade from one colour to another, create a marled fabric by holding two strands of yarn together, colour block with coordination or contrasting colours or even add a fluffy layer with some Suri Silk or Mohair.
Designed to be a boxy fit, I recommend 6-8” (12-17cm) positive ease, however, the listed sizes are the finished size so choose an ease that you feel most comfortable with. I am a 35” bust and my black and speckled grey sample sweater is a size 42” giving me 7” positive ease.
The sizes given are finished bust size (measured at the widest point) so just apply your chosen ease to your bust measurement and then choose the nearest size.
